Afghanistan

Things are going good here in Afghanistan. It has been fun and a lot of work. I had my first chance to go off of Bagram Air Base and see the country a little bit. Kabul was pretty scary. The building had bullet holes in them, from all the wars they have been fighting. There were a few nice buildings, but not may.

This was in Manas, our stop for a few days before we flew to Afghanistan. The living conditions weren't the best, but they worked for a few day.

Trip to Nauvoo

I just got back from my trip to Nauvoo. It was a great experience. I love the visit. Winter time is a great time to go. The toursists are minimal and no lines to see what you want. Most of the building I visited, I was the only person in there. It was neat to spend some of the one on one time with the different missionaries. Also I enjoyed seeing the Mississippi river frozen over.
